CASE DESCRIPTION

Employee A filed a formal complaint with the Equal Opportunity office. Employee B had been making racist comments in the office space. Unitive Consulting was hired to facilitate communication between them (using our conciliation process), during which Employee B recognized the offense, apologized for it, and restored the relationship with Employee A.

Employee A removed the formal complaint on the Equal Opportunity Office after accepting the apology and agreed to work cordially with Employee B. The organization saved over 90 hours of formal investigation work by realizing that there was a conflict between the two employees and offering a restorative communication facilitation approach that took less than 10 hours to resolve the conflict.
