Being the youngest of seven children, she has been a negotiator and mediator from the cradle. As a first-generation Hispanic university graduate and single mother attaining an advanced degree, Yvette knows what it takes to overcome challenges. Yvette's problem-solving skills and passion for peaceful conflict resolution led her to embark on a self-discovery and professional growth journey. After 20 years of professional experience working in both the public and private sectors, along with a unique academic background, Yvette has mastered key methodologies and techniques in the field of human relationships.

Yvette is an Instructor for the University of California, Santa Cruz Silicon Valley Extension, University of California Davis Continuing and Professional Education, Portland State University teaching online and in-person courses in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion(DEI), Human Resource Management Courses, Communication & Conflict Management, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Ethics, Neutrality, Conciliation, and Mediation. She is also a former Adjunct Professor for the National University and the School General Council of the Judiciary in the State of Guanajuato, Mexico.

She has worked alongside boards of directors, corporate representatives, political representatives, students, and educators. She is the former ADR Program Administrator for the Superior Court of California, Alameda County, Executive Committee Member at the Alameda County Bar Association ADR Section, and tri-chair for the Wellness Section for the Association of Conflict Resolution (ACR).

Her upbringing on the United States & Mexico border has given her a great cultural awareness that serves her when working with businesses that have diverse representation. She draws empathy, intuition, and wisdom from her life and work experiences to work with her clients. Yvette links leadership development to business outcomes, resulting in meaningful and effective changes for both her clients and their organizations.
